About City IT.

My career began in 1999, and grew from my own frustration at computers and my desire to see people overcome theirs.

I’ve run the IT support and management functions of two ICT Consultancies in London, but left to start my own business after becoming dismayed at the dishonest practices rife within this industry.

My core beliefs are:

1) A successful service business is built on the happiness of its clients. Happy clients refer you to their friends, and so word of mouth becomes your main source of new business.

2) Clients shouldn’t be tied into contracts. Their motivation to stay with you should be driven by their level of satisfaction, not a piece of paper.

3) Clients shouldn’t be charged mark-ups on hardware that has already been marked up by one or more vendors in an effort to make it seem like we’re actually charging less for our time. I’d much rather tell you exactly how much our time will cost for a project, and how much the hardware/software is – so much so I’ll even tell you where you can buy it yourself if you prefer.
